instant and letter of the 11th. instant and to thank you for the

by Chinese and Europeans in Hongkong towards the alleviation of

the Famine in Kwang Si.

sympathy of every class in the Colony with the suffering people,

and I thank Your Excellency for the orders given by you to

facilitate the transport of rice to the centres of distribution.
